A very useful accessory for those wooden bellyboards. I'd like one on my mat when I hit 4th gear!

Way ahead of you all, Dude! Mattitude and Dr. "Night Creature" Hendricks have been using their UPS in the Agua pack for a few years now. There is also a matrix on time and the beloved mats clock in around 23 -24+ MPH and most likely faster but untested in real waves. Only those two own the buggers and though they are happy to loan it out there are so few takers on trash bags that it is hard to get comparitive numbers with the boogs and the longboards for time.
This Alaia thing is pretty much a "Flavor of the moment" and though the ancients may have used them, only the groovy are really trying them now.
Besides, you can't put air in them cause there ain't no valve!
