Black And Blue #1

Here is the Black "Canvas"/Blue Twill Fatty I just made for Mat Max. It went off a few minutes ago...

I asked Mat Max to alternate only between his Stock Fatty and the new Black and Blue. If he threw any other mat into the mix, it might screw up his perspective.

If he rides the Black and Blue mat for two or three go outs, then takes out the Stock Fatty, the performance variation between the two -- if there is any -- will become apparant immediately. Also, Max is going to monitor the break-in process of the Black and Blue. He's keeping a journal of the experience...that should be very interesting!

Not sure how to fit this in, but yesterday was a Square Root Day. 03/03/09.

Boy, the sheen on the blue twill sure looks nice! It looks like a sea creature.

Mat Max thinks the blue bottom is like the blue underside of some fighter planes which are meant to look like the sky when you look up at them. The blue get a lot darker and less shimmery when wet.
