Steiny...Pumped Up!

hi paul-

i hope you are well. i surfed XXXXXXXXX on my mat this evening and had a great time. i had been riding the mat fairly soft and low pressure my last few go outs but today filled it up as hard as i could with my lungs. i got some really good waves and found myself getting in easier and having an easier time trimming the mat up. interesting. i am pumped to ride it again like this. this week we should have mid afternoon onshore winds and minus tides- perfect!

all my best to you, i hope you are happy and getting some waves,

steiny

ps- two people i passed on my bike on the way to surf yelled "george greenough!" at me!

Yay, Steiny! we're stoked for you. . . we enjoyed some fun sliders on our 4GFs last week, too.

I too love the bike, especially the Brooks saddle. Takes years to break those in but when they are it's heaven. I was over at Manresa yesterday am with my RT, it was a lot of fun.

In a nutshell this is the difference between NorCal and SoCal.

Quite a few of the people I've had "mat conversations" with in the water mention GG. This is in NZ.

Most people just ask me if I'm off to Majorca!

In SoCal they ask if I'm riding an inflatable dogbed. It a pretty foam and glass crowd. Which I find odd at the "epicenter of the surfing world". Which of course it's not, just the home of several large action sports t shirt dealers.

I nicked this photo (since I liked it so much) and gave surfmatters a plug on our blog. I really like the blog. It is impressive to see how well some of you guys can ride the mats. Nice work. Keep spreading the stoke!
