Bananarama!

Pendo mentioned somewhere recently that he ate bananas, or a banana, before surfing. I've been in that habit for a year or so, and I have to say, it's really made a difference in my stamina and overall level of energy in the water. Especially when it's cold. Fewer leg cramps too.

So what do you eat before going for a mat surf? Anything special?

Coffee and banana bread :)

Nine times out of 10, I paddle out (whether on a mat or a board) on an empty stomach.

Always go the banana route helps with the leg and calf cramp!
and slow energy release.

I tried surfing on an empty stomach but the inflation was off.And getting the fold right gave me cramp.

When the schedule is leisurely, I juice some veggies, and eat a small monkey bowl of oatmeal with a banana in it. Otherwise, I scarf a banana or sometimes a handful of raisins and a carrot.

The one in the middle lives in a mansion house near where I grew up. When I was about 19 I wrapped a Citroen Visa around her gate post.

She was good about it.

See, Grayman, if you're going to drop names and insert yourself into the lives of the rich and famous, at least begin your comment with what you eat before surfing...and THEN casually point out your "relationship" with Keren Woodward!

Oops!!!

I'm a banana man too!

When I get out its grapes, Weetabix and yoghurt; AKA Breakfast!

She's married to the one off of Wham who just slapped a tambourine in the background.Good work if you can find it.
I'm envious,G.Always fancied wrapping my Citroen round her gatepost too.

We take Wham! alumni seriously here in The States, Piskian.

And your anti-tamborine rant smacks of gypsy-phobia!!!
