Imagine dropping out of an airplane or helo with a wingsuit, and swooping down along a lined up wave and riding it like a gull...
That Henry Kaiser clip is really cool, tool. Werner Herzog used his footage in "Encounters at the End of the World" and "The Wild Blue Yonder." He refers to Turtle Rock in his narration. It's a round hill that sticks up out of the ice a few miles away from the main shore near McMurdo. I spent quite a few miraculous days and (sunlit) nights out there back in 1974 and 1975, although I never got to dive. We were helping to study the Weddell Seals, tagging and milking them. I've got some neat pictures of that out in the garage somewhere.
Did I write "cool, tool?" I meant, "cool, too!"
