I had a nice conversation with GG last evening, and the gist of his call was the rave about his
new Duck Feet.
George has been using shortened and tapered UDTs for a number of years now, and is happy with them. But, he likes the new Duck Feet even better.
He said they were the best swim fins he's used in 40 years -- since the last time Duck Feet were made with a configuration of rubber similar to the new ones -- and gave them a solid "A."

Do the new ones float?
Yes, they float...
By "Duck Feet" do you mean "UDTs"? I'm always confused as I recently took delivery of a pair of the new UDT's and the box has both terms printed on it. Are UDT's one of several models of Duck Feet?
I'll have to take my new fins for a swim as the surf is miniscule.
Ah - checked your Deets link and...
$50 udt
$26 duck
$29.50 v-duck
...So which one is GG using?
Right now, George is using the smaller, stock Duck Feet, not the UDTs.
There's a new pricing schedule at Voit...and these increases aren't the doing of Greg Deets, but the suits at Voit...
50 udt
40 duck
45 v-duck
Yes, there are two kinds of Duck Feet...the smaller stock version (blue and green in the photos,) and the UDT version, which are the much longer brown and green fins.
Oh, and there are the red and black V-Ducks, which are the smaller Duck Feet with the tips trimmed off.
stoked I got in on the original price! just wore my larger pair with booties this morning and they fit perfect!
..now let me get all my ducks in a row.... :-D
I've been using UDTs for 6+ years so I'm sure I'll like the new version.
