It's tax time again, and the unfortunate result is a reality check on our financial paradigm.
(Dramatic re-enactment of Gloria doing our taxes...)
And no, we're not bitching about paying taxes. But...we are being forced to crunch numbers, categorize spending, and face up to some business realities.
For us at 4GF, business has steadily grown between 5 and 10 percent a year, every year. So that's the good news.
The bad new is that both fabric and shipping costs have risen this past year. We've managed to hold the line on our prices for the past 3 plus years...and the base price of 4GF mats will remain $199 for the high end models, and $135 for the Classic.
But, we're going to have to increase our shipping costs beginning April 1st, 2013.
In years past, we've never charged for shipping within the United States. But, we're now going to levy a $9.00 shipping fee on all domestic orders.
It costs about $7 bucks to send mats within California. And it costs twice that to ship to Hawaii and the East Coast. So, a $9.00 flat rate represents a low average, and makes the cost the same for everyone.
Foreign shipping has always been a major drain for us. Our cost to most foreign countries has been around $46...and we've been charging a $25 shipping fee. But, foreign shipping has recently risen, so we have to bump the foreign shipping charge to $29.
Also, all foreign shipping fees will stop accumulating at two mats. Quantities from 3 to 9 ship for the same price as 2 if the mats are going to the same address.
Thanks for your understanding,
Paul and Gloria

Still a great deal on a totaly portable, un-dingable, variable shape/volume/rocker, high tech surfing vehicle!
Yes definitely. Considering a potato chip thruster, shaped by a machine, costs 3-4 times the price, delivers 1/4 of the enjoyment, and lasts (at an averaged guess) 1/10th as long as one of PGs hand made marvels, who could argue. Steve (Sydney)
Another cheap shot from the guys in your marketing dept so they can keep their jobs in beautiful SB. PG, just tell us the damn things go $9.00 faster and we'll buy that hook line and sinker! Truth in advertising bro! Truth in advertising!
they won't go any faster, they will just be built $9.00 faster(what's that come to-a savings of 2 minutes off the build time???)
