Hey Paul, 

This is from our trip to South Africa last year. A great trip with great friends and great waves. This is a section of a movie that Josh Simpson is slowly working on. It features Ellis Ericson, Beau Foster, and myself.

    EXCELLENT surfing and waves!

    SO much to see here! Love the high lines! Love the distinct styles between the riders- very unusual in a mat video. Talented crew!! Love the solid surf and skilled riding! Funny to see so much bouncing. Why did the guy bail his mat at the end- Jeffery's Bay lava reef, yikes!

    Criticism... not a fan of the sort of short edits that usually accompany shortboard "big moves"; to me they look out of place and character for mat surfing. I find the whole ride "technically" deeply interesting and would love to the raw unedited footage. Music is pretty unpleasant but I turn down 95% of surf video music.

    KILLER. Stoked to see this added to the small library of really exhilarating mat surf videos!
