By the time I got to Pismo, the mat rider on Surfline was nowhere to be found. I looked long and hard before removing my glasses and jumping in. Still no sign of a mat, but a few high tide rides were had.
Script idea - A Twilight Zone episode in which a surf cam viewer rushes to meet the mat rider he sees, only to find an empty lineup. After a few desperate attempts, he finally paddles over to a surf matter.....and its himself!
