I try to warn people. First, you are just mat curious. You think it looks like fun and you can ride one as a black ball beater or when its big and mushy. Next thing you know, your whole board quiver is gathering dust because you stopped even bringing them to the beach. Just a mat and a pair of fins.
LOL!!! Oh man, I've got it bad. I surfed a board today and was wholly dissatisfied with the board, the conditions, etc. A swell is supposed to roll in tomorrow. Of course, I'm thinking all about where I can go to get it good on the mat. I couldn't care less about hitting that swell on a board.
Hi everyone, Just wanted to thank you Paul for the wicked mat I have just recieved. Can't believe it only took 9 days. Awesome. Unfortunately surf is poor, even unfriendly for a mat, but stoked to get that old feeling back when you're so excited about hitting the water with your new toy. I can imagine sharing the same feelings as Surfsister, and I imagine, all of you. By the way, does anybody know of any fellow mat riders here on North Coast NSW around Lennox, Byron region. Would love to meet up and exchange some ideas or get some tips. Anyway, thanks again Paul. Many waves.

Heard that SurfSister had a séance the other night and I think there was a body exchange.
There is a confused George Greenough trying to figure out what the hell happened.

Paul, isn't there some old matter named George something-or-other down that way? ;-)
Yeah, the name "George" rings a bell, but I can't remember any of the particulars...
Ha,
I have as much chance of running into George than I have of getting the point to myself at 6-8 ft on a weekend in school holidays!
