Down under in NZ. That's Moko, a really friendly dolphin who lives in Mahia, North Island. He was quite interested in my 4GF when I took it out to play, as he'd never seen such a thing before.
The guy who took the photos was on my Redback a little later while I was alongside him on my Fatty. Moko swam up to us to slap his beak down on each of the mats, pointing out that he found the 4GF more intersting. Probably beacuse he'd seen canvas mats before and the nylon mat was new to him.

Wow that's amazing!
Where is that fella? (ie what country?)
I use mine as a buoy for spear fishing too. The handles are really useful for hanging stuff off.

I wonder if the sonar echo off a hollow bladder (mat, as opposed to a hard craft) peaks their interest?
Amazing.
