shhhhewww! i was asking around if "vushner la cali " was around and he ends up posting the most epic video of me! Thank you kind sir! That was an amazing day...so burnt.
Well I'm glad that's solved. Yeah, Matt and I were wondering "which one was Vyusher?" I would have been bummed if I didn't get to meet him : )
Your footage is so fine, looking forward to more. We got a few nice ones, but many more, most actually, got away unrecorded. I'll post something rough asap.
My battery ran out about 4-ish, and so we bounced, but as we were packing to leave Andrew and Evan were out there getting wave after wave, the best size all day. They were just like little bullets rifling down the line. It was a thrill to see.
The size really jumped up later, Malibu was going off. I need to ride my mat more! Great to see how it's done. I witnessed some inspirational rides that's for certain. Props to Mary for starting this whole thing up. My cup is filled with stoke!
I spent one day in September of last year surfing this spot during a two-day LA layover between Oz's east coast and the US east coast. Wasn't anywhere close to that fun. Glad to see everyone got together and got great waves! Wish I could have made it. Might wander out that way this winter...
It was a great day. All the props go to Mary for choosing the time and place, I was merely a willing participant in the fun. I saw so many good waves ridden I quite literally lost count. Fortunately I was on shore with my glasses on to see Mateo's ride in the video, several of Dirks waves were extraordinary and Andrew had a bunch of really long good ones. I think everyone scored several good waves for the memory vault.
this guy = right on and the silverado remount move on the longer video is killer too....I remember watching GG in ByronBay and he was always doing 'something' with his body, shifting weight-squeezing different parts of the matt to adjust to what the wave was saying, and this fella reminds me of that persistent style....handy homework here A+

That is one of the nicest, most relatable rides I've ever seen in a video!

Fantastic video! Fantastic group of mat riders! Fantastic day!
My only regret is that I had to leave so soon.
Props to Mary, Bruce and everyone who made the trip today!
Noice wave for this meet. Reminds of the waves around the bay here. Looking forward to seeing more especially of the bigger sets.

Vyusher La Kali gets the credit for the spot. He knew it would be working and he was so right!!
Best L.A. Mat Meet ever!!
