From Marc ...

Hi Paul,

Hope all is well.

Yesterday was the last swell of 2016 in my hometown Scheveningen in The Netherlands. Cold (37F degrees) but clean and fun. It will be flat till 2 January.

On the background they are building the bonfire for new year's eve (35 meters high! )

All the best for 2017 for you and Gloria!

Marc

That was fun, particularly the first link, which is so over-the-top. Hat's off to you too surfing in that cold- been in the 40's-low 50s fahrenheit here in California and we're all wimpering :)

Wouldn't it be nice to live in a world where we had just fun, celebrated life and creativity, and took care of each other? Here's hoping for a kinder, smarter, more conscious and conscientious 2017.

Thank you Paul, for all the fun you've given us!

Tuskedbeast, you're right; "Wouldn't it be nice to live in a world where we had just fun, celebrated life and creativity, and took care of each other? "
I've decided to do all those sorts of things in the new year and be an active responsible citizen, fighting negativity with positivity and play (especially in the sea). And helping others in ways big and small. We can make it a Happy New Year.
